It’s 2020 and we are still fighting for equal pay. This November, women’s equality and the fight for equal pay are on the line and every vote has never been more important. I’ve teamed up with LUNA to help amplify equal pay. Pay inequities between women and men doing the same job have been a long time problem, the implications of COVID-19 have only exacerbated the use for women, especially women of color.
Being a woman of color in business, I have seen first hand of my access being denied to funding and pay inequities of Black content creators. While in corporate, I felt I had to work twice as hard as my counterparts and yet was underpaid. In fact, 40% of Black women say someone at their job has said or implied that they don’t work as hard as others because of their gender, race or responsibilities at home. So what can you do?
Women are carrying the burden, paying the financial price, and facing the potential for an even worsening pay gap. I can’t wait until November to cast our vote for equal pay. Will you join me?

Yes, this is so important. Bias is everywhere and it is killing our careers. The more I realize how we’re affected as women of color in the work place, it gives me more motivation to make my own path.
