Get ready to be jealous. I spent last Saturday at the beautiful new Cincinnati Hotel, Lytle Park Hotel. This beauty is located right off of 4th street downtown, and is perfect for a great getaway, dinner or just for play. Now, I know what some of you may be thinking, "Is it safe to stay at hotels right now?" I had no worries. The Lytle Park Hotel requires that you wear a mask as soon as you enter, all the staff had masks on, there were hand sanitizers on every floor near the elevator and I could definitely tell that social distancing was in full effect. Let me also add, this was Ralph's very FIRST Hotel stay, I love that it is pet friendly. Ralph even got his own bag and dog treat when we first checked in. The hotel room was GORGEOUS. I was greeted with a special welcome gift and a bottle of the Lytle Park Hotel's Sparkling Wine - it was an awesome surprise! They were already ready for Ralph and he had his very own water and food bowl. Ralph was thought of, just like me. I really appreciated that touch. I tend to be a bathroom snob, and this bathroom did NOT disappoint. I really wanted to live in this shower, it was amazing. Ralph even wanted to hop in. I could not wait to be able to immerse myself into this shower after I had dinner and a cocktail, snuggle into my robe and lounge in the bed watching Netflix. Inside the hotel is an amazing restaurant called Subito. Let me tell you, ya'll know how I feel about food and GOOD food at that. The Subito is authentic italian with a modern flair. They have a very impressive menu ranging from pasta, pizzas to award winning steaks. As much as I wanted to try their pasta, I was good since I am on a healthy journey right now. HOWEVER, I will be back to try their pasta very soon! I started with a shrimp cocktail (because I'm obsessed with shrimp cocktails, since I was a little girl), I had the Panzanella salad which had: greens, red onion tomato, hand-ripped focaccia and red wine vinaigrette. I wasn't sure I would like it, but it was amazing - it did not stand a chance on my plate. For my entree, I had the 8 oz tenderloin, beef bone broth reduction, ricotta-whipped potatoes and sherry mushrooms on the side. The steak was so tender and juicy. Whenever I travel I always have to go to a really great steakhouse - this one did not disappoint. Overall, I enjoyed dinner and was completely satisfied. Ya'll would be so proud of me, as much as I wanted to try their desert, especially the cannolis - I was good! After dinner, I decided to treat myself to a cocktail and enjoy some sun. The hotel also has a seasonal rooftop bar called The Vista. The views are amazing and you can truly experience a great city view of downtown Cincinnati. If you are traveling from out of state, you will love this view. The rooftop bar reminded me of being in Chicago or NYC. I can't wait to experience it in the Fall when the weather is a little bit more friendly, ya'll know I am not a hot weather girl. I was a little nervous about bringing Ralph since this was his first hotel experience. However, he did really well! There is a dog park right outside the hotel that I took Ralph to after my dinner experience to walk off some calories but also let Ralph do his business. Ralph only cried a little bit when I left for dinner, when I came back he was sitting down waiting on me to come back. In the bedroom, Ralph completely adjusted and layed in the bed with me, actually Ralph fell asleep before me. He only woke up a couple times during the night, once to finally eat his food and two when he heard concierge bring me some aleve (I had a horrible headache, probably due to all the great drinks and not eating all day before dinner). The hotel staff took great care of me. Overall, the experience Ralph and I had at the Lytle Park Hotel was above 5 stars. If you live in Cincinnati and just want to get away from being in your home, whether you plan on traveling to Cincinnati, or maybe you just wanted a cute social distancing dinner/drink date - I would highly recommend staying and playing at the Lytle Park Hotel. The ambiance is amazing, the decor is beautiful, the drinks/food are delicious, the staff was so amazing. Thank you to Julie and her staff at the Lytle for making my stay so memorable.
Thank you to Molly and Francesca for coordinating a wonderful weekend stay. I truly value your amazing service and allowing me and Ralph to stay at this beautiful hotel. Often times, bloggers of color don't get the same opportunities as others - so that speaks volumes. I look forward staying at the Lytle Park hotel again, and encourage all my followers/supporters to do the same! Let me know when you go :)
