One day my son and I were with my wife and our 3 girls. My girls were excited as we passed a particular clothing store that they enjoy going to. We go inside, however, this leaves my son and I very bored while also being left out. So he does what every 7-year-old boy does in a girl's clothing store - he starts touching everything he could get his hands on!

As we were scolded by my wife, I began to think, and finally had the idea to start a brand that was just as much about the boys as the girls were experiencing. I realized that boys were an afterthought in the fashion and clothing industry. Whenever going into a department store like Macy's or Burlington, boys are always to the back of the store and they have the smallest section in the store. The selection was also one that only catered to athletics and dinosaurs, while not captivating how great the young men are at the moment.

The Handsome Prince is the opportunity to put boys and their positive images first. The meaning behind the t shirt looks very simple as many boys say and hold on to this mantra at the same time, but to us it had a bigger meaning, and was close to home for us. While the shirt gives homage to our lovely mother's it also implies that The Handsome Prince will work hard to provide for his family. It shows that he is grateful for the nurturing and love that his momma has given him and will do what is necessary to make her feel good. While some only equate richness to financial, we equate it to becoming great husbands and partners, as well as good people and role models. We tell our son all the time that "Boys will be boys is inaccurate because Boys will become men."
