I turned 40, y’all. Forty.
I used to wonder what 40 would feel like. Would I feel older? Slower? Different? And honestly? I feel clearer. Stronger. More aligned. More me than I’ve ever been. So this year, I decided I’m doing something intentional. I’m committing to 40 things for my 40th year — things I’ve always wanted to do, things that scare me a little, things that feel indulgent, things that feel healing, things that feel fun. And I’m doing them without guilt. Because if not now, when? So often, especially as women, we postpone ourselves. We wait for the “right time.” We wait until business slows down. Until everyone else is okay. Until the budget is perfect. Until life feels less chaotic.Forty feels like the season of no more waiting. This isn’t about a crisis. It’s about clarity.
Forty is about choosing myself on purpose. Some of the 40 things will be small. Some will be bold. Some will be deeply personal. Some will be public and documented. But the point is this: I’m giving myself permission to experience life fully. I’ve survived grief. I’ve built businesses. I’ve navigated reinvention. I’ve outgrown rooms. Now I want to expand. This decade feels less about proving and more about enjoying. Less about chasing and more about attracting. Less about doing what’s expected and more about doing what’s aligned. And here’s where you come in. I want your suggestions.
Drop it in the comments. Send me a message. I’m serious. This is going to be a year of intention, softness, adventure, discipline, growth, joy. Forty isn’t the end of youth. It’s the beginning of power. And I plan to live it beautifully.
